The Christening of a Peasant

Well, I suppose I should begin by sending a nod of recognition to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, to whom I owe the moniker for this most humble of blogs.  For it was he, "America's Rabbi," that opened my eyes and allowed me to embrace my inner "Ignorant-Peasant-ness" during the whole Passion of the Christ debate back in 2004.  A bit about myself...I have spent the past several years in intelligence and law enforcement, serving as a pol/mil analyst, terrorism analyst, and operational Arabic linguist for the Army.  I currently work as a consultant for a corporation that takes a somewhat dim view of blogging, hence the anonymity (with apologies to Dennis Prager).  Now...let's talk.  I have begun research into some arcane Kaballist texts, an original copy of Dante's Inferno (complete with author's notes in the margins), and selected works from the secret Vatican archives (thanks to the albino-assassin-monks for help on that) and I have formulated a premise that there is, indeed, a special place of eternal torment in a searing corner of Hell reserved for ticket scalpers and those who abet their dark intents.  I refer, of course, to the nightmare scenario which has unfolded these past dark days in Colorado for fans of the Rockies.  "We'll only sell tickets on the internet...and limit them to 4 per person...that's the most fair way to do it!" bleated the Rockies management.  Well, nobody I know was able to get even one ticket, while some brazen oxygen thief from Mountlake Terrace, WA with the E-Bay handle of Salmontackler was able to secure 22 tickets, which he has proceeded to sell for a 1000%+ markup.  So, my 3 boys will have to settle for watching the game of their lives on TV.  Thanks Salmontracker...may you and your ilk suffer long and intensely in that special corner of Gehena reserved for freeway-left-lane-loiterers, Keith Olbermann, and others of your kind.
